Vivo among Top 3 in Market Share for the Philippines, Malaysia, and India

On Thursday, Shi Yujian, Senior Vice President of Vivo, revealed the latest business progress of the company at its 2021 Developer Conference. Up to now, Vivo has served over 400 million users in more than 60 countries and regions.

Regarding market share, Vivo ranks among the top three in the Philippines, Malaysia, and India. In the Chinese market, it maintains a leading position in shipments, and ranked among the Top 3 in the market share of high-end smartphones priced higher than 4000 yuan in the third quarter of 2021 after launching its X70 series.

In terms of product performance, Vivo designed three engines for optimized real-time computing, intelligent computational scheduling and high-speed tracking. With these three features, Vivo smartphones are able to handle multiple tasks quickly and smoothly, achieve balance between device performance and power consumption, and greatly improve the response time of system performance.

Its VP and Dean of Vivo AI Global Research Institute introduced the company’s progress in their smart home line up. Vivo has upgraded and optimized much of the products on offer, such as better interconnectivity, better data exchange, increased applicaiton capabilities, health protection, and others. The number of active users is up by more than 260% compared to last year. Also, Vivo has joined forces with more than 60 smart home brands, covering more than 95% of major smart home categories.

Regarding the application of the company’s software in vehicles, Vivo took the design concept of its OriginOS from their smartphones and combined that with redesigned the card components of the Jovi InCar to bring forth Jovi InCar 2.0. The Jovi InCar 2.0 features non-inductive connections, multi-screen linkage, car-and-home interconnection 2.0, two-wheeled vehicle interconnection, smart car key access, etc. The company has established cooperation with more than 80 automobile brands and now serves more than 30 million users.

At the conference, Vivo also announced its Qianjing Security Architecture which aims to enhance Android’s ecological privacy protection. The company proposed that privacy protection should be more concerned abouthumane security protection rather than sci-tech protection alone. Finally, Vivo published its OriginOS Security White Paper to demonstrate that it is taking seriously both users’ and the industry’s security and privacy protection.
