Vivo S12 Pro Specifications Leak, Equipped With 5G Flagship Chip And Three Rear Cameras

Chinese smartphone brand Vivo announced on Tuesday that it will hold a new product launch conference for its S12 series at 19:30 on December 22. The phone is now available for pre-order.

Vivo also released a promotional video showing the specifications of its S12 Pro. The video shows that the model is equipped with a 5G flagship chip and adopts a 2.5D hyperboloid screen with dual front cameras. The phone has a notch and a triple rear camera set up, featuring a 108MP primary unit.

At present, no moreconfiguration information has been released. However, on December 10, MediaTek said that the Vivo S12 will be released at the end of December. The new device will be equipped with a customized Dimensity 1200 chipset.

The Dimensity 1200 was released at the beginning of this year. It is a high-end SoC with an integrated 5G modem. It includes three CPU clusters: one fast ARM Cortex-A78 that runs up to 3 GHz with two sets of L2 cache and then an additional three A78 chips that run up to 2.6 GHz. For power efficiency, the chipset features four ARM Cortex-A55 cores that run up to 2 GHz.

According to previous leak information, the vivo S12 series will include at least two editions, namely a standard edition and a Pro edition. The tipster ‘@Digital Chat Station’ posted on Weibo on December 8 that the company’s internal code of this smartphone was “Superman” and will focus on image quality. The tipster also added that the price of smartphone is expected to be over 3,000 yuan ($471).

Furthermore, on December 9, Vivo released a new generation of operating system and changed its name from Origin OS to OriginOS Ocean. The new operating system may also be installed in the new vivo S12 series.
