vivo S19 Officially Released, Achieving a Battery Energy Density of 809Wh/L
vivo officially unveiled their new S19 series at a product launch event on the evening of May 30th.
The standard model of the S19 series sports a flat screen, providing a visually crisp display and a comfortable grip. The S19 Pro, on the other hand, features a curved screen design, striking a balance between a sleek look and a comfortable feel. The devices are built with Vivo’s proprietary Linglong architecture and a high-strength, low-magnetic steel, resulting in the thinnest motherboard bracket in the S series yet.
The new devices are equipped with a 4500nits 120Hz eye-friendly screen. The peak brightness reaches 1200nits, and the narrowest part of the display edge is a mere 1.54mm, offering full-scene eye protection.
Regarding battery life, despite their slim 7.19mm body, they house a 6000mAh ultra-thin Blue Sea battery, made with second-generation silicon carbon anode material. This allows for an energy density exceeding 800Wh/L. In practical terms, the S19 can power 14 hours of continuous gameplay on Honor of Kings from a single charge. Even in extreme conditions of -20°C, the S19’s battery maintains 80% of its capacity, outperforming standard batteries.
The S19 series also boasts a new universal communication system with a 360° omnidirectional antenna. This ensures a call connection rate of over 99%, even in low-signal environments.
The imaging capabilities of the new devices are noteworthy. The front-facing camera offers 50 million pixel distortion-free autofocus for selfies and is the first to feature vivo’s AI face shape correction technology. This optimizes distortion for group photos, eliminating the need to jostle for the best spot. The rear camera is equally impressive, featuring a 50 million pixel ultra-stabilized main sensor with custom OIS super optical stabilization and CIPA 4.0 camera-level stabilization, enhancing night photography. The devices also come equipped with front and rear soft lights and support the new AI 3D studio light for intelligent three-dimensional fill light, making photos appear more natural and three-dimensional.
