Vivo’s iQOO to Launch Neo6 SE Smartphone on May 6

Smartphone brand iQOO, a subsidiary of Chinese technology firm vivo, announced that the new iQOO Neo6 SE will be launched on May 6.

Promotional material shows that the new model will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor after 11 rounds of performance adjustments. The Snapdragon 870 is made by the TSMC 7nm process, including one 3.2 GHz core, three 2.42 GHz cores and four 1.8 GHz cores, while the GPU is an Adreno 650.

The new model will be equipped with UFS 3.1 and UFS Deep Defragmentation 2.0 technology. It also supports 80W fast charging. Pre-orders have been opened on the brand’s official Chinese website.

At present, some specifications for the new device have leaked. In addition to 80W fast charging, the iQOO Neo6 SE will be a 6.62-inch notch OLED straight display like the original iQOO Neo6, with a resolution of 2400*1080. It has a high refresh rate of 120Hz, and a built-in 4700mAh battery.

In terms of imaging, the iQOO Neo6 adopts a trio-camera design with a 64-MP main camera, a 12-MP ultra-wide camera and a 2-MP black-and-white camera. The Neo6 SE will likely be similar to this, but there are no confirmed details available at present.

The smartphone brand just released its iQOO Neo6 on April 13, which is equipped with a 6.62-inch 2400 × 1080 AMOLED straight screen, supporting 120Hz refresh rate. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 chip, LPDDR5 memory and overclocking UFS 3.1 flash memory. The model also supports Pixelworks Pro independent display chips, starting from 2,799 yuan ($427).
