WM Motor to Release 2022 Version of E.5 on April 15
On Monday, Chinese electric vehicle startup WM Motor announced it will release its newest 2022 E.5 on April 15th. The new model features a 58.6 kW/h ternary lithium power battery enabling the vehicle to travel 505 km before needing a charge.
WM Motor has already released one version of the E.5, but the model was only targeted at the travel market. The new model is for individual consumers.
WM Motor E.5 measures 4718 mm*1838 mm*1535 mm. Its wheelbase is 2810mm in length and the panoramic awning is 1.91 ㎡. The vehicle carries a 120 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor with a peak torque of 240 N • m. It only takes 8.9 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers, and only takes 39 minutes to charge from 30% to 80% in fast charging mode.
The vehicle features a Living Pilot driver assistance system with adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, and forward-collision warning. It also has an electronic stability program, auto hold and traction control system, and other built-in safety functions.
The E.5 Sedan has a 12.3-inch center console and instrument screen with a knob-type gear shift. The vehicle features heated front seats, reading lights, and other creature comforts.

In addition, the automobile features a high-temperature liquid cooling system, battery pack electric heating system, and energy recovery function. The former enables the battery cells to work in an optimal temperature range while providing a stable and reliable power output for the system, while the latter two aim to improve the life of the vehicle.
