Xiaomi-backed Dreame Unveils Robot Vacuum with Lidar Technology
Chinese smart home-cleaning appliances maker Dreame has launched a series of products in international markets, including the flagship Dreame Bot L10 Pro, a two-in-one sweeping and mopping robot vacuum equipped with a lidar navigation system.
The powerful vacuum has a maximum suction power of 4,000Pa when fully charged and in turbo mode, as well as a larger dustbin. It boasts “superb navigation and accurate obstacle avoidance optimization“ thanks to its lidar units, which can scan at a radius of 8 meters with two lasers, build a 3D map and quickly plan cleaning routes.
Users are also able to set virtual no-go zones in the Xiaomi Home app, configure cleaning schedule, power, mopping water volume and command the device via voice control. Its big 5,200mAh battery pack will allow the smart vacuum a long runtime of 2.5 hours — or a cleaning area of around 250 square meters on a full charge.
The product is priced at $379 on Aliexpress and according to the company, the Dreame Bot L10 Pro sold out within two days in Russia.
The Dyson challenger also unveiled a new line-up of handheld cordless vacuums, the T30, T10, V11 SE and V12, with the T30 boasting a 90min ultra-long runtime.
Other products showcased at the live-stream event on May 8 include Dreame Bot Z10 Pro Auto-Empty Robot Vacuum and Mop and the Dreame Bot W10 Auto-Cleaning Robot Vacuum and Mop.
“We are thrilled by the overwhelmingly positive response from our global users. I believe Dreame’s new products can liberate people from tedious house chores, make cleaning enjoyable and bring love back to home,” said Frank Wang, International Marketing Director of Dreame Technology.
