Xiaomi Confirms Mi Mix 3 Launch on October 25
Today Xiaomi has finally confirmed that the new smartphone Mi Mix 3 will be launched in Beijing on Oct. 25.
The new smartphone was previously believed to be launched on Oct. 15 but these rumors have now all been dissolved thanks to Xiaomi‘s announcement.
Donovan Sung, Global Spokesperson and Director of Product Management for Xiaomi, posted a photo on Twitter yesterday of a man lying on the floor surrounded by Mi Mix smartphones. The phone he’s holding in the photo is undoubtedly the Mix 3 as it comes with a slider camera, a feature previously confirmed by company president Li Bin.

Due to the slider based design, Xiaomi has added a 6.4-inch AMOLED screen giving it a screen-to-body ratio of nearly 100%. Instead of placing the fingerprint scanner in the back of the device, the Mi will come with an in-screen fingerprint scanner.
It is expected to have a dual camera setup in the back with 16 MP and 13 MP telephoto lenses. The phone will feature 3D facial recognition along with AI features on a 20 MP front sensor. It will run on MIUI 9.0 based on Android 7.1 Nougat.
It has been rumored that the new smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor, which if true would make it the first phone to launch with the new chipset. However, considering that Qualcomm just launched Snapdragon 845, it is deemed unlikely that its successor would be launched already.
Xiaomi has yet to announce the price of the Mix 3, however, leaks indicate that the pricing will start from $490.
