Xiaomi Germany Reaches Cooperation With Vodafone
The German division of leading Chinese tech firm Xiaomi has reached a partnership with telecommunications giant Vodafone, Xiaomi’s statement on Monday showed. The purpose of this cooperation is to expand the smartphone and internet of things (IoT) device businesses of both parties to achieve further development.
Xiaomi said that it will cooperate more deeply with Vodafone Germany in the future to bring high-quality intelligent experiences to more users around the world.
Founded in 1984, Vodafone is one of the largest telecommunications companies in the world, with investments in 27 countries, as well cooperations with local mobile phone operators in 14 countries around the world. Vodafone has a complete enterprise information management system and customer service system, which has strong advantages in increasing customers, providing services and creating value. Vodafone set up a representative office in China in 2001 and established a separate Chinese company on February 7, 2007.
In fact, as early as 2020, Vodafone and Xiaomi announced that they would jointly introduce the budget Xiaomi 10 T Lite 5G smartphones into Vodafone’s Gigabit 5G network in eight European markets.

Xiaomi recently released its 2022 Q1 financial report, showing that total revenue in the period reached 328.3 billion yuan ($51.6 billion), a year-on-year increase of 33.5%. In 2021, the global shipments and market share of Xiaomi‘s smartphone business both reached a record high. The global shipments reached 190 million units, up 30.0% year-on-year.
