Xiaomi Has Developed the First 3nm Mobile System-Level Chip in China
On October 20th, in the evening news program broadcasted on Beijing TV, Tang Jianguo, Chief Economist of the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Economy and Information Technology, announced that Xiaomi has successfully produced China’s first 3-nanometer process smartphone system-level chip. Wang Teng, Deputy General Manager of Xiaomi‘s China Market Department and General Manager of Redmi brand, stated on the 15th that one reason for the price increase of Xiaomi flagship phones is due to the adoption of a 3nm process which significantly increases costs.
