Xiaomi Invests in Energy Storage Equipment Company Aits
Aits New Energy Co., Ltd., a Shanghai-based new energy technology company, altered its official registration with China’s Industrial and Commercial Administration on Monday, displaying newly-added shareholder Hainan Jimu Venture Capital Co., Ltd., an affiliated company of Xiaomi.
Aits was established in June 2021. It operates in the fields of manufacturing new energy equipment, sales of new energy equipment, sales of solar thermal products, sales of wind farm related equipment, and more.
It is mainly engaged in the R&D, manufacturing and sales of independent thermal management devices, with the main application markets being energy storage equipment thermal management and automotive battery thermal management.

Moreover, Xiaomi has invested in about 35 automotive industry chain companies, mainly covering the fields of vehicle, upstream and downstream supply chains, travel, and automotive after-market, according to incomplete statistics.
Shanghai Kuaibu New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (KBVIP) registered a change with the Industrial and Commercial Administration on May 28. It added several new shareholders, including Hanxing Venture Capital Co., Ltd., an affiliated company of Xiaomi. On May 13, Henan Fenlet New Energy Technology Co., Ltd., a lithium-ion battery material supplier, registered a change with the Industrial and Commercial Administration. Its newly added shareholders include Beijing Xiaomi Zhizao Equity Investment Fund Partnership (Limited Partnership) and Hubei Xiaomi Changjiang Industry Fund Partnership (Limited Partnership). Besides, Welion New Energy, a unicorn in lithium battery industry, changed its industrial and commercial information on March 24, and its new shareholders included Hubei Xiaomi Changjiang Industrial Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd. (Limited Partnership).
