On Friday, the commercial inquiry platform Tianyancha showed that Liaoning Zhonglan Electronic Technology Co., Ltd. (ZET), a leading Chinese leading enterprise in the field of core components of mobile phones, recently made a registration change with the country’s Industrial and Commercial Administration, adding Hubei Xiaomi Changjiang Industrial Investment Fund Management Co., Ltd. Partnership as a new shareholder, and its registered capital increased to about 116 million yuan ($18.2 million).
In addition, the shareholder information shows that the company’s shareholders also include Hubble Technology Venture Capital Co., Ltd.
According to its official website, ZET was established in 2011 and is located in the Electronic Industrial Park of Panjin High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Liaoning Province. Its business covers electronic product research and development, production and sales as well as related technical consulting services and precision mold design and making.
The company mainly engages in the development of two core components of smartphone cameras: focusing motors and optical lens. Its customers include Huawei, Xiaomi, Honor, OPPO and other well-known smartphone brands.
According to information released by Panjin City, Liaoning Province in March this year, the major project of R&D and industrialization of core components of mobile intelligent terminals undertaken by the firm was officially launched.
The introduction shows that this major project acknowledges the development trend of mobile intelligent terminal optical imaging system with high definition, high pixel, large wide angle, large magnification optical zoom and ultra-small volume. Therefore, with the goal of research and development breakthroughs in core technologies of high-end products such as front ultra-small, high-pixel and small-head lens and high-magnification periscope motor for mobile intelligent terminals, the research on high-magnification optical imaging stabilization system and ultra-high thickness ratio 3D optical lens system was conducted.
This project focuses on the breakthrough of key technologies such as optical structure design, new mold structure design, special lens coating, prism’s anti-shake effect and high-precision assembly. It also aims at R&D of international advanced ultra-small high-pixel small-head lenses and high-magnification periscope optical zoom motors, as well as the industrialization of these components.
