Xiaomi Launches New CC Series to Cater to Younger Audience
On July 2, Xiaomi launched three new smartphones – the Mi CC9, Mi CC9e and Mi CC9 Meitu Edition – under its new Mi CC series. Designed to deliver the exceptional photography experience younger generations crave, the Mi CC9 series’ flagship camera configuration features a 32MP front camera and 48MP rear camera. Devices are equipped with the latest generation in-screen fingerprint sensor and can be purchased from 1299 yuan ($260).
The Mi CC9 is very similar to the Mi 9, and maintains the same comfortable hand-feel with a curved glass back. The new series also makes use of Mi 9’s 6.39-inch FHD+ AMOLED display and screen-to-body ratio of up to 91 percent.
The CC9 is powered by Snapdragon 710, compared to the top-of-the-line Snapdragon 855 featured in the Mi 9, but a less powerful chipset is to be expected at the more affordable price point. It packs a large 4030 mAh battery and allegedly charges to 43 percent in half an hour.
The Mi CC9 comes in three colors, White Lover, Blue Planet and Dark Prince – all of which produce a 3D effect.

In cooperation with Meitu, who specializes in beauty effects and selfies, Xiaomi also released a Meitu edition of the CC9 with some added camera features.
For an even lower price you can purchase the CC9e, which is just like the original CC9, only slightly smaller and slightly less powerful, but the 1299 yuan ($190) price tag makes up for it.
