Xiaomi Launches Redmi Note 9 Pro in India Starting from Rs 14,999

On March 12, the Redmi Note 9 Pro, available in Aurora Blue, Glacier White, and Interstellar Black, became available online for Indian customers. The new budget model from Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi comes as the successor to last year’s Redmi Note 8 phones, which emerged as one of the company’s best selling smartphones in 2019. The Redmi Note 9 series offers the Redmi Note 9 Pro and its variant, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max.

Both the phones are equipped with quad cameras on the back. The Redmi Note 9 Pro features a 48-megapixel lens-based quad camera. The primary lens is a Samsung ISOCELL GM2 with support for technologies such as PDAF and Super Stabilization. Next to it is an 8-Megapixel ultra-wide lens with a 120-degree field of view. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has a 64-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 5-megapixel Macro lens and a 2-Megapixel depth sensor. For selfies, there’s a 32-megapixel camera on the Redmi Pro Max.

In terms of configuration, the Redmi Note 9 Pro Max has a 6.67-inch 3D curved glass screen with a punch hole. Compared to the Note 8, the new model keeps its 3.5mm headphone jack. The Redmi Note 9 Pro series is equipped with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 720G processor. The phone is powered by a whopping 5,020mAh battery that supports 18W fast charging and runs MIUI 11 with Android 10 out of the box. There are three versions: 6G RAM+64GB ROM, 6G RAM+128GB ROM and 8G RAM+128GB ROM.

The phone will be available starting next week across Mi.com, Mi Home and other partner platforms. The Redmi Note 9 Pro Max will go on sale a week after the Redmi Note 9 Pro.
