Xiaomi MIX 2S: Snapdragon 845, AI dual camera, wireless quick charge

Xiaomi will hold the MIX 2S release conference in two days. Today, Xiaomi released the final poster of the MIX 2S and summed up its main highlights, including the Snapdragon 845 (scoring over 270,000 on AnTuTu benchmarking), AI dual cameras, AI face unlock, AI scene recognition camera, wireless fast charging and more.

The official account of Xiaomi mobile phones posted on Sina Weibo, “270,000 points. AI camera, AI face unlock, AI scene recognition camera, AI dual cameras, wireless fast charging… Two days from now, Xiaomi will hold a MIX 2S release conference. What do you expect from it?”

Among the highlights, AI and photography are the two major upgrades of the Xiaomi MIX 2S. Xiaomi has made great efforts in upgrading the cameras. The MIX 2S is equipped with dual cameras and is combined with AI. The final performance is worthy of attention.

Previously, Xiaomi had released a photo taken with the Xiaomi MIX 2S AI camera. Different from previous dual-cameras, the AI camera can the separate the object from the background, and can add dynamic rotation to the background to produce artistic effects.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi MIX 2S camera also supports AI scene recognition. When photographing flowers, a flowers icon will show underneath the frame, and when photographing buildings, the frame immediately displays a building icon. The MIX 2S can intelligently identify a variety of scenes and adjust the camera parameters to avoid overexposure, adjust color cast, and restore real scenes to ensure the optimal imaging results.

Earlier, Lei Jun, founder of Xiaomi, released the MIX 2S official photo endorsed by Kris Wu. The MIX 2S follows the design of the MIX 2, with 18:9 full screen display. The top, left and right sides are ultra-narrow, leaving only the chin on the front. The front camera is positioned at the bottom of the display and the screen is visually superior.

The Xiaomi MIX 2S will be equipped with Snapdragon 845 processor. The maximum option is the 8GB RAM with 256GB internal storage version, and the battery is expected to be above 4000mAh with support for wireless fast charge.

By convention, the price of the MIX 2S will continue to be cost-effective. It will likely follow the price of the MIX 2, which was released at 3,299 yuan ($523).
