Xiaomi POCO C40 Smartphone Leaked, Equipped With Non-Qualcomm/MediaTek Chipset
POCO is a smartphone brand launched by Chinese consumer electronics company Xiaomi in overseas markets, among which the C series offers budget models. The Xiaomi POCO C40 has recently passed FCC certification, and its model number is C3QP, according to information discovered by an XDA developers user.
The smartphone is very similar to the Redmi 10C, whose model number is C3Q. However, according to the above mentioned user, the POCO C40 will not use the same Snapdragon 680 processor as the Redmi 10C, nor will it use a MediaTek processor.
The tipster revealed that the smartphone will be equipped with an entry-level processor called JR510, which comes from JLQ Technology and has appeared in several smartphones of a lesser-known brand called Treswave.
The JR510 is the first 4G 11nm FinFET smartphone chip of JLQ Technology, which had successful tapeout at the end of last year.

Xiaomi invested 100 million yuan ($15.7 million) in JLQ Technology in November, 2021, accounting for 3.3505% of the company’s shares. According to public enterprise information, JLQ Technology was established in 2018, focusing on the consumer smartphone market, and its business scope mainly includes design, packaging, testing, customer service and sales related to chipset solutions as well as software development. Its main products are smartphone SoC chips with low-end chips as the major business.
