Xiaomi Spin-Off Brand POCO to Launch First Smart Watch

POCO, a spin-off brand of Chinese consumer electronics giant Xiaomi that is focused on overseas markets, will release the POCO F4 GT smartphone on April 26. The company announced Friday it will also introduce two more products at the event – one is the POCO Watch, and the other is reportedly the firm’s “first customized product with Genshin Impact.”

According to rendering images exposed by OnLeaks, both products have been released in China before, namely the Redmi Watch 2 and the Redmi AirDots 3 Pro Genshin Impact Edition TWS earphones.

Weighing only 31g, the Redmi Watch 2 is equipped with a 1.6-inch AMOLED screen and supports NFC. It is available in three colors – black, blue, and white. It also supports blood oxygen detection, 24-hour heart rate monitoring, 117 exercise modes, and independent satellite positioning. With a battery life of 12 days, it is priced at 349 yuan ($53.68) in China.

The theme of the Redmi AirDots 3 Pro Genshin Impact Edition came from the game’s renowned character, “Klee.” The earbuds feature a red and gold colorway, as well as the four-leaf clover on Klee’s hat and dress. In the accessories, there are also a collection of doodle stories and a small backpack of the same style as Klee. Supporting an intelligent AI algorithm for its Adaptive Noise Reduction, the earbuds are priced at 399 yuan.

The POCO F4 GT smartphone, which will be released soon, is capable of 120W fast charging. Technology media outlet GSMArena pointed out that the device is expected to be a rebranded Redmi K50 Gaming, considering that the exact same thing happened last year, when the Poco F3 GT became known as the Redmi K40 Gaming in China. Redmi K50 Gaming is equipped with a 6.67-inch OLED straight screen with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a touch sampling rate of 480Hz. It also has a built-in 4700mAh battery cell, which supports 120W fast charging.
