Xiaomi is set to open hands-free autonomous driving test drives for its SU7 and YU7 models this weekend, showcasing its advanced “zero-intervention” end-to-end driving system powered by 10 million real-world driving clips.

According to Xin Huanghe on November 7, Xiaomi Auto will open its end-to-end assisted driving experience to the public at select stores this weekend, offering full “zero-intervention” capability for the first time.

The pilot program will include test drives of the Xiaomi SU7 and YU7 models. Among them, the YU7 features higher computing power and delivers a smoother assisted driving experience. While the high-end SU7 models match the YU7’s performance, the base SU7 — which lacks LiDAR — offers slightly reduced capability with 84 TOPS of processing power.

Xiaomi previously announced that its “10-Million Clips” version of end-to-end assisted driving began rolling out to SU7 Pro, Max, and Ultra models in late July. The latest iteration promises more refined acceleration and braking, smoother navigation through intersections, and improved road understanding.

Every YU7 vehicle will come equipped with this version of Xiaomi’s end-to-end assisted driving system at launch. The “Clips” refer to short video segments — typically 30 seconds to 1 minute — capturing multimodal driving data from LiDAR, cameras, and radar. With 10 million such clips, Xiaomi says its large-scale driving model achieves a more natural, human-like driving style.
