Xiaomi Unveiles New Xiaomi 12S Series Co-engineered with Leica
Chinese consumer electronics maker Xiaomi officially unveiled its new Xiaomi 12S Series “co-engineered with Leica” on June 4. This series is the first of the strategic partnership in imaging technology between Xiaomi and Leica.
The entire series features different imaging systems developed by Xiaomi and Leica together. Each device contains Leica Summicron lenses and supports Leica imaging profiles, all of which aims to empower individuals to express their creativity while retaining the superb look of Leica’s imaging products.
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra “co-engineered with Leica” is the first flagship model to be equipped with two proprietary Xiaomi Surge chips, Xiaomi Surge P1 fast-charging chipset and Xiaomi Surge G1 battery management chipset, offering vast improvements in battery management and overall user experience.

Xiaomi also unveiled its 12 Pro Dimensity Edition which is available in two colors – Black and Blue, with two storage variants. The 8GB+128G version is priced at 3,999 yuan ($597), while the 12GB+256GB version is priced at 4,499 yuan ($672).
Mi Band 7 Pro
Xiaomi‘s Mi Band 7 Pro was also released at the conference on June 4. The Pro model straddles the line between smart band and smartwatch. It has a 1.64-inch display, which is wider horizontally than the Mi Band 7 display. Further customizations are available through a rainbow of wrist band colors.
The Mi Band 7 Pro, priced at 380 yuan ($57), has similar features as its regular edition, including all-day heart rate and blood-oxygen tracking. The band comes with 117 exercise modes, including 10 running courses. Additionally, the band is rated for 5ATM water resistance. With a 235mAh battery, the band is expected to last 12 days of regular usage or 6 days of heavy usage.
