According to information on TENAA, China’s telecommunications regulatory agency under the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, it does not belong to the existing flagship or the mid-range series.
This mysterious new series has three models, namely M1805D1SE, M1805D1ST and M1805D1SC. Seen from the released photos and configuration information, the phones have a 5.8-inch screen with a notch on top and a rather obvious bezel at the bottom. The screen has a resolution of 2280 × 1080 pixels and uses TFT display. On the back are vertically arranged dual rear cameras and a fingerprint sensor.
In terms of configurations, it adopts a 2 GHz Octa-Core processor, which is likely to be Snapdragon 625. The RAM options are 2GB, 3GB and 4GB, with expandable storage up to 256GB. It is also equipped with an MIUI system based on Android 8.1, and a battery capacity of 3900mAh. It is now unclear whether it supports facial recognition and NFC capabilities.
The phone has mid-range configurations and the mainstream design of an almost bezel-less screen, thus it is expected to sell for a thousand yuan or so, which is around $156 USD. Specific information will likely be announced closer to the end of the month when the product launch takes place.
