Xiaomi’s New Mid-Range Phones Configuration Leaked
On July 7, Chinese digital blogger with user name “Digital Chat Station” said Xiaomi is developing two new mid-range devices equipped with 50MP and 200MP sensors. One device will have a large sensor and the other is to have a super-large sensor. Both devices will feature the updated high-performance MediaTek 9000 and Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 + Gen 1 flagship chipsets respectively. Some are speculating that these devices are new Civi models.
According to tipster, the smartphone is in its test phase. The engineering machine is equipped with Snapdragon 7Gen1 chip, the screen has 120Hz high brush OLED, and the charging is upgraded from 55W to 67W. The phone has dual speakers, a metal frame, NFC, infrared, Dolby Vision technology, and an off-screen optical fingerprint sensor.
As for the attention-grabbing 200MP sensor, it is likely to be Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1. This sensor is said to be premiered by Motorola and will be used by Xiaomi. Thus, this new device will most likely debut after Motorola releases their phone, which is expected to be in early October. The Xiaomi Civi is positioned as a thin and lightweight phone made particularly for the female demographic as it features a good selfie cameras, imaging and beautification functions.

The Samsung ISOCELL HP1 has a 1/1.22-inch sensor size with 0.64μm per pixel and supports ISOCELL 3.0 technology. It can combine 4-in-1 or 16-in-1 pixels depending on the scene and can shoot 2.56μm, 12.5MP, 1.28μm 50MP stills, and 30 frames per second (fps) for 8K video.
