Smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi announced on domestic social media platform Weibo that as of 18:21:07 on November 5, Xiaomi‘s omnichannel payment amount during this year’s popular “Double 11 Shopping Festival” exceeded 10 billion yuan ($1.56 billion). The statistics account for sales starting from 20:00 on October 31, and the omnichannel payment includes Mi.com, offline Xiaomi stores, the firm’s own e-commerce platform Xiaomi Youpin, other authorized e-commerce platforms and retailers.
According to the report released by Xiaomi in the early morning of November 1, on the day when the Double 11 Shopping event was officially launched, it took only 9 minutes and 44 seconds for the payment amount of Xiaomi Tmall store to exceed 500 million yuan. In just 10 minutes, the payment amount of Xiaomi‘s whole platform exceeded 1 billion yuan. In 19 minutes and 32 seconds, the payment amount of all Xiaomi channels exceeded 1.5 billion yuan. The payment amount in 50 minutes exceeded 2 billion yuan. As of 24:00 on November 1, Xiaomi‘s smartphones won first place in terms of sales volume in the smartphone category of all domestic platforms. The omnichannel sales volume of the Xiaomi Note 11 series exceeded 500,000 in the first one hour.
Xiaomi has excellent market performance in the field of smartphones, also has a variety of products in the smart home appliances sector. During the annual Double 11 shopping event, the firm provided preferential promotions for a large number of products, with a total subsidy of 2 billion yuan. Xiaomi sales also rank first in the smartphone and smart door lock category on Suning.Com. In addition, Xiaomi won the first place in smartphone sales and total sales volume on the Douyin live streaming e-commerce platform.
