XPeng Aeroht Opens New Trial Production Factory
On July 25, He Xiaopeng, Chairman of XPeng Motors, announced on social media that XPeng Aeroht, an affiliate of XPeng, officially opened its new trial factory.
He said that four years ago, XPeng rented a trial factory of similar scale, but the factory of XPeng Aeroht is much different in process and equipment. As shown in the picture, for carbon fiber materials, the new plant uses autoclave at 7 atmospheres, and this is rarely used in auto technology.
XPeng Aeroht, formerly known as HT Aero, was founded in 2013. In 2020, He Xiaopeng led his company to jointly invest in and manage XPeng Aeroht, after which the company became one of XPeng‘s subsidiaries.
XPeng Aeroht is the largest flying car company in Asia. Integrating intelligent vehicles and modern aviation, it is dedicated to producing the safest intelligent electric flying car for individual users. In the future, it will provide products and solutions in the field of 3D transportation, including urban air transportation, scenic spot sightseeing, emergency rescue, air patrol, etc.
XPeng Aeroht completed its round A of financing of over $500 million at the end of 2021 which was by far the largest financing obtained by Asian enterprises in the field of low-altitude manned aircraft.
In mid-July, XPeng Aeroht demonstrated the land-air coupling operation mode of its flying car for the first time, using the combination of a steering wheel and a handle to operate the flying car, which is said to be the first one in the world. He Xiaopeng said that the company wanted to keep things simple for people and so revised and applied the same operation mode of a normal car to the process of flying the car.
