On March 8th, He Xiaopeng made his first appearance on behalf of the channel. He revealed that the XPeng Iron humanoid robot has been put into use at the Guangzhou factory and plans to achieve mass production of L3 initial capabilities by 2026.
He Xiaopeng suggested drawing on the experience of promoting new energy vehicles, using policy support to promote the market application of L3 level robots, and accelerating large-scale development.
At the 2024 XPeng AI Technology Day event held in November last year, the XPeng AI robot Iron made its official debut. XPeng Iron adopts a humanoid structure design, with a height of 178cm, weight of 70kg, and has 62 active degrees of freedom.
The robot is equipped with the XPeng AI Eagle Eye visual system, supports XPeng AI end-to-end large model + reinforcement learning, claiming to give the robot “autonomous + natural walking” bipedal capabilities. The hands of the XPeng AI robot Iron have 15 movable degrees of freedom, support tactile feedback, and also adopt a 1:1 human hand size.
Iron has entered the XPeng Motors factory to work. Some components of the XPeng P7+ car are assembled by Iron. XPeng Motors will open its factory for visits this year.
