Xpeng Launches First Right-Hand Drive G6 in the UK with Pre-Sales Starting at £39,990
On February 12, Chinese electric vehicle manufacturer Xpeng Motors kicked off pre-sales in the UK for its first right-hand drive model, the Xpeng G6, a smart all-electric mid-size coupe SUV.
The vehicle, priced starting at £39,990 (around $50,390), is set to begin deliveries in March 2025.
The Xpeng G6 debuted in China in June 2023. Equipped with an 800-volt silicon carbide (SiC) platform, the G6 supports ultra-fast charging, enabling a 300-kilometer range boost in just 10 minutes. With a maximum range of 755 kilometers and advanced driver-assistance systems, the G6 is designed to meet the evolving needs of UK and European consumers.
Xpeng’s entry into the UK is supported by a partnership with International Motors Ltd. (IML), a trusted distributor with nearly 50 years of experience in the automotive industry. Together, Xpeng and IML plan to open 20 dealerships across the UK in 2025, ensuring a strong local presence and comprehensive customer support network.

At the launch event, Xpeng showcased its vision for AI-defined smart mobility, featuring an impressive lineup of vehicles and technologies. Highlights included the Xpeng P7+, and the eVTOL X2 flying car by Xpeng AEROHT, the company’s subsidiary and Asia’s largest eVTOL manufacturer.
Since its European debut in Norway in 2021, Xpeng has expanded to over a dozen countries, including Denmark, Sweden, Germany, France, and Spain. The company aims to enter more than 60 countries and regions by the end of 2025, with a goal of generating 50% of its total sales from international markets within the next decade.
