Li Auto delivered 7,649 Li ONEs in October, up 107.2% year-on-year. NIO delivered 3,667 vehicles in October, down 27.5% year-on-year, due to the reorganization and upgrading of production lines and preparations for the launch of new products.
In terms of single models’ performance, deliveries in October consisted of 6,044 Xpeng P7 smart sports sedans, representing a 187% increase year-on-year. The company delivered 3,657 G3 and G3i smart SUVs, reaching a monthly record since the G3’s launch in December 2018. The P5 smart family sedans, launched in September 2021, demonstrated strong market appeal with 437 units delivered in October.
Xpeng continues to expand its supercharging facilities to address increasing customer demand. The firm’s branded supercharging network spans urban commuting thoroughfares and highways through 439 stations across 121 Chinese cities, as of September 30, 2021.
Li Auto delivered 7,649 Li ONEs in October, an increase of 107.2% compared with October 2020. As of October 31, 2021, the year-to-date and cumulative deliveries of Li ONEs reached 62,919 and 96,516, respectively.
“Our order intake exceeded 14,500 units in October, and we are working in earnest with our suppliers to fully restore the millimeter wave radar supply,” said Yanan Shen, Cofounder and President of Li Auto.

However, the performance of NIO was a bit unsatisfactory. NIO delivered 3,667 vehicles in October 2021, representing a decrease of 27.5% year-over-year. The vehicle delivery in October was significantly impacted by reduction in production volume as a result of the restructuring and upgrades to manufacturing lines and the preparation of new products introduction. Although the production line has gradually resumed operations in late October, some vehicle orders planned to be delivered in October will be postponed.
