XREAL Launches XREAL 1S AR Glasses, Starting at $393 With Real-Time 2D-to-3D Conversion

XREAL has unveiled its latest consumer AR glasses, aiming to make large-screen spatial viewing and immersive 3D content more accessible to everyday users.
On December 18, 2025, XREAL, a global leader in consumer AR, officially launched the XREAL 1S, a new-generation AR glasses model under the XREAL One series. Targeted at younger consumers, the device highlights a 500-inch “portable giant screen,” stable spatial display, and the world’s first real-time 2D-to-3D content conversion capability.
XREAL founder and CEO Xu Chi stated that glasses will become a core entry point for next-generation computing. XREAL’s AR strategy focuses on two pillars: spatial display and spatial computing. The XREAL 1S is designed to address long-standing challenges in display stability, powered by the company’s self-developed X1 spatial computing chip. As the world’s first custom chip built specifically for spatial display, X1 enables native 3DoF spatial viewing without external accessories, allowing visuals to remain stably anchored in space. It delivers motion-to-photon latency as low as 3 ms and supports plug-and-play use across ecosystems, including iPhone and Windows PCs. When paired with the XREAL Eye module, the system can be expanded to 6DoF spatial tracking.
On the technical side, the XREAL 1S leverages the X1 chip to deliver system-level, real-time 2D-to-3D conversion, requiring no dedicated 3D content or additional apps. Movies, games, and other media can be rendered with natural depth and immersion. The display uses Sony Micro-OLED panels with 1200p resolution per eye and has received TÜV Rheinland Five-Star Eye Comfort certification. The glasses also feature three-level electrochromic lenses for adjustable light control.
Audio is provided through BOSE-customized spatial sound, while comfort features include three-stage adjustable temples and interchangeable air nose pads in multiple sizes.
In terms of pricing, the XREAL 1S is officially priced at $463. During the initial sales window—from December 18, 14:00 to December 22, 20:00—customers receive a $70 discount, bringing the starting price down to $393. Additional launch promotions include free or half-price prescription lenses and a complimentary iQIYI Platinum quarterly membership. The product is available via JD.com, which offers global shipping and a one-year warranty.
