Zhejiang University and Doubao have launched a new AI & Humanities Innovation Lab to pioneer a tech-humanities fusion model that empowers students with cross-disciplinary creative capability.

Zhejiang University's School of Philosophy has officially partnered with Doubao to establish the new AI & Humanities Innovation Lab, following a signing ceremony held at the university's Zijingang Campus.

At the event, Wang Jun, Dean of the School of Philosophy, emphasized that the lab is not a simple combination of "technology + humanities," but an effort to build a new symbiotic framework—one where humanistic thinking guides technology, and technology in turn enriches the humanities. The initiative aims to cultivate students who can "use humanistic reasoning to master technology and use technological tools to interpret the humanities."

This unveiling marks a milestone, but not the beginning of their collaboration. As early as May 2025, Doubao had already entered the School of Philosophy's classrooms, introducing students to hands-on generative AI programming and helping them merge philosophical reflection with technical creation through various applications and web-based projects.

Beyond Zhejiang University, Doubao has been expanding its presence at leading institutions such as Peking University and Fudan University, jointly developing AI bootcamps, experimental courses, and other innovative teaching models. According to Doubao representatives, the platform is becoming an essential tool for university students—boosting learning efficiency, expanding modes of expression, and supporting personal development.

Looking ahead, Doubao plans to deepen its partnerships across more campuses, helping faculty and students better understand and apply AI while advancing cross-disciplinary educational innovation.
