Nreal Air AR Glasses to Go on Sale in the UK on May 20
British 5G operator EE will launch the Nreal Air smart glasses in the UK on May 20, marking the sixth overseas country in which Chinese AR glasses developer Nreal has entered.
Founded in 2017, Nreal has launched two AR glasses models so far, including the Nreal Light and the Nreal Air. The latter debuted in China in September 2021.
The Nreal Air, which focus on large-screen viewing, were made available in Japan in February 2022, with a price tag of 39,799 yen ($310) including tax. Starting from May 20, British consumers can purchase these AR glasses through EE’s official website and offline stores.
A previous survey by EE in Britain showed that 55% of respondents had resisted using AR glasses because the products on the market were “heavy and ugly” and “uncomfortable” after wearing them for a long time. In addition, 35% of respondents said they are most looking forward to using AR glasses when traveling, because they can “play games and watch movies through the virtual screen anytime and anywhere.”
With the latest augmented reality technology, Nreal says the glasses’ field of view is 46 degrees. It equates the Air’s view with a 201-inch screen at a distance of 6 meters. The light, portable and fashionable AR glasses solve the worries and meet the demands of consumers.
The Nreal Air also meet TUV Rheinland’s stroboscopic requirements, which can effectively reduce the visual fatigue caused by flickering screens.
