Geely’s New Xingyue-L Plug-in Hybrid Version Approved by MIIT
On August 11, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) publicized the latest batch of models approved in the Announcement of Road Motor Vehicle Manufacturers and Products. The announcement suggests Geely’s new Xingyue-L plug-in hybrid version has received approval from MIIT.
According to the declaration, the pure electric driving range of Xingyue-L plug-in hybrid version is 205 km, fuel consumption is 5.3 l/100 km, engine displacement is 1480 ml, and the battery capacity is 39.81 kWh.
This vehicle follows the overall design of the Xingyue L Leishen Hi · X, but with a few different details. The biggest change lies in the power system. This model features a plug-in system consisting of a 1.5 T + motor, which matches the ternary lithium battery pack provided by CATL.
In terms of appearance, the new vehicle doesn’t change much from the Leishen Hi · X. The most noticeable changes on the vehicle include a new style of fog lamps and rims, and added charging interface to the left rear fender, and a new logo to the tail under the “Xingyue L” tail tag..
The plug-in version also provides low wind resistance rims, window frame trim, front and rear bumper trim and other options. As for body size, the vehicle measures 4770*1895*1689mm in length, width and height, and the wheelbase is 2845mm.
