TuSimple Responds to ‘Disbandment of 100-Person Team in Guangzhou’

Autonomous driving company TuSimple recently transitioned into the AI and gaming fields. However, it was reported yesterday that due to internal disputes within the company, TuSimple’s Guangzhou department is preparing to enter a dissolution and liquidation process.

In response to the above situation, TuSimple officially stated today to Sina Technology that the company has been conducting game testing with Team AB. As the Guangzhou team did not meet the 3A game quality standards, they decided to abandon the Guangzhou office and team, and instead use other teams for further development, with almost no impact on project progress.

TuSimple previously announced that it had obtained official authorization for a well-known martial arts IP ‘Heroes of Jin Yong’ and will develop a large-scale martial arts open-world RPG game.

The new version of the game “Heroes of Jin Yong” is positioned as an open-world martial arts game, claiming to use the UE5 Unreal Engine to reinterpret the original 1996 version of “Heroes of Jin Yong”, reproducing classic characters from several of Jin Yong’s martial arts novels and over 120 classic scenes, creating a total map area of 960 square kilometers in the jianghu world.
