AI Software Developer Baihai Technology Bags Tens of Millions of Yuan in Financing

AI software-focused Baihai Technology announced on Friday that it has completed tens of millions of yuan in financing led by Verity Ventures. The funds are mainly to be allocated for accelerating the development and promotion of an AI intelligent development platform (IDP).

Baihai Technology is made up of tech talent hailing from China’s prestigious Tsinghua University, Baidu and MiningLamp Technology, and they have rich experience in technology, products, operations and open source. Founder Lu Yilei has a doctorate in high-performance computing from Tsinghua and over 15 years of experience in big data and AI. He was previously responsible for distributed storage and high-performance computing of Lenovo’s network disk, Hadoop distributed computing at Baidu, and the AI algorithm and data analysis platforms at MiningLamp Technology.

Baihai Technology focuses on serving algorithm engineers and big data engineers who want to transform into data scientists, and provides them with easy-to-use and high-performance domestic AI development and production tools, so that they can focus more on model development and data analysis to improve work efficiency.

Jupyter is a non-profit, open-source project, born out of the IPython Project in 2014 as it evolved to support interactive data science and scientific computing across all programming languages. Its biggest feature is its excellent visual programming performance and rich data analysis functions.

However, its support for AI production and management still needs to be improved. For example, data access and SQL analysis mainly rely on other plug-ins; support for team cooperation, project management, background operations and distributed training still needs to be improved.
