BYD Enters German and Swedish Markets
On August 1, BYD announced its cooperation with Hedin Mobility, a leading dealer group in Europe, to provide high-quality new energy vehicles for Sweden and Germany.
As BYD’s passenger car distribution and dealer partner in Sweden, Hedin Mobility will open offline stores in several cities. As for the German market, BYD will work with Hedin Mobility to select a number of local high-quality dealers covering many regions in Germany.
In October this year, many stores in Sweden and Germany will be officially open, and more offline stores will be launched in several cities later on. At that time, consumers can experience BYD’s new energy vehicles at close range, and the first batch of vehicles is expected to be delivered in Q4 of this year.
As one of the largest dealer groups in Europe, Hedin Mobility has substantial market depth and a mature distribution system in place, with more than 230 dealerships that span across Europe, including Sweden and Germany. The alliance between BYD and Hedin Mobility will help BYD further expand its presence in the European market.
BYD is the only enterprise in the world that has mastered the core technologies of electric vehicles such as batteries, motors and electronic controls, while providing a comprehensive new energy solution. In the first half of 2022, the sales volume of new energy vehicles exceeded 640,000 units.

BYD already has an overseas presence, particularly in Europe. At the end of last year, BYD announced the delivery of the first batch of five new-generation 12-meter pure electric buses to DB Regio Bus, a subsidiary of Deutsche Bahn, which have been put into operation in Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. In March this year, Einride, a Swedish freight technology company, announced that it had purchased 200 8TT heavy-duty pure electric tractors from BYD.
