Customer Success Platform Hokdo Completes Pre-A Round of Financing
Hokdo, a customer success platform based in China, announced on Monday that it had completed a Pre-A round of financing worth tens of millions of yuan. This round of financing was jointly led by SIG China and Eminence Ventures, and followed by the existing shareholder Miracle Plus.
Hokdo is a customer success platform with a mission to help customers achieve sustainable growth while deriving maximal value from their own products or services. Enterprises can reduce customer churn by applying Hokdo’s integrated customer success methods such as customer health, customer interaction, automation and project management.
The core members of the company hail from world-renowned companies such as ByteDance, Tencent, Microsoft, IBM and VMware. Like many Silicon Valley entrepreneurs, Xu Ziqiang, founder and CEO of Hokdo, has been fascinated by technologies since middle school. He quit university in his freshman year in 2016 and returned to China to start a business. He was also the co-founder of cloud based identity platform Authing.
Regarding the idea of being a customer success platform, Xu said that in his experience, he found that the separation of commercial tools in different departments caused information silos, and the tools related to customer success were scarce, which directly affected the income quality of enterprises.
Hokdo was established in 2021 and the company’s products are currently in the testing stage. The company has achieved cooperation with dozens of customers in SaaS/software and intelligent manufacturing industries. Many are confident that after the product is released in the second half of 2022, the number of customers will reach several hundred.
After the completion of this round of financing, the platform will continue to increase its investment in technology and promote automation, data mining and machine learning while also building out its own hematopoietic capacity in an effort to speed up the successful best practices of customers.

Xu believes that business software should not just be a specious database. The development of cloud native, mobile Internet, automation and artificial intelligence technologies will completely change the way business software is built and distributed in China.
