Douyin Partners with ZTO Express and YTO Express to Test Express Delivery Services
Tech Planet reported on Wednesday that leading short video sharing platform, Douyin, has recently tested an express service called “Yinzunda”(音尊达). The new product offering aims to address issues with telephone contact numbers, door-to-door delivery issues, and poor service attitudes that happen during traditional package delivery services.
The platform outlines the rights and interests of merchants which include: door-to-door delivery, priority delivery, compensation for customer complaints, priority parcel shipment, and 1-on-1 customer service. These services can help reduce the return rate of goods due to logistics and improve the repurchase rate of users.
The express delivery companies that currently support the service are ZTO Express, YTO Express and Yunda Express. More companies are expected to join in the future. The “Yinzunda” service also pointed out that “the package delivery provider promises to deliver goods to customers’ home door, except for in the situation wherein the user’s request for parcels to be accepted by a third party platform or the address of the users are too remote.”
According Tech Planet, ByteDance’s Douyin had launched its home delivery service back on December 4, 2021.
The express delivery rates are all 0.8 yuan ($0.13) per order but companies only are only billed for the first delivery attempt. Should the express company fail to perform the promised service and there is a customer complaint, the company will pay the merchant 5 yuan per order.
