K12 Education Gaint Zuoyebang Awarded Honorable Mention by World Economic Forum

Leading K12 online education platform Zuoyebang was awarded by the World Economic Forum an Honorable Mention for Excellence in Digital Disruption for its first annual New Champion Awards 2020 at the World Economic Forum’s inaugural Pioneers of Change Summit.

Held in an online-offline integrated format due to Covid-19, the summit brought together more than 750 leaders of governments, business and civil society from more than 90 countries to share cross-sector perspectives on leading transformation and innovation needed to recover from the pandemic.

And the New Champions Awards is set to recognize excellence led by the private sector in areas of sustainability, digital disruption and agile business governance, seeking to explore innovation and incent joint efforts that can be used to address the most critical issues of the world.

As a technology-driven leader in China’s K12 online education sector, Zuoyebang at the summit shared its experiences on how to leverage innovative solutions of online education in China to promote a more balanced and robust education sector and support sustainable social and economic development.

Since the outbreak of the pandemic, the advantages of online education addressing social challenges have become more prominent, making it likely to permanently change the way people access educational resources.

The platform currently has over 800 million registered users, with over 50 million daily active users, accumulating more than 62 million students enrolled in livestreaming courses and 20 million paid-course students.

With a database of 250 million schoolwork questions, the largest of its kind in the industry, Zuoyebang has developed more than 200 categories of quality course systems.

As of June 2020, Zuoyebang has completed its Series E financing joined by investors including Fountainvest Partners, Tiger Global, Sequoia Capital China, SoftBank’s Vision Fund, Primavera Capital, GGV Capital, Xiang He Capital, Tiantu Capital and Taihecap.
