One of China’s largest state-owned automotive conglomerates, FAW Group, has recently established an artificial intelligence sub-entity.
According to Chinese enterprise data platform Qichacha, FAW Fudi New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was established on January 15th with a registered capital of 1 billion yuan ($157 million).
Horizon Robotics announced on Monday that it has obtained strategic investment from FAW Group, and that the transaction has been completed.

On November 28th, Richard Yu, CEO of Huawei Consumer BG, stated that Huawei has extended invitations to Seres, Chery, JAC Motors, and BAIC, and hopes that FAW Group will also join.
