Xiaomi has officially announced that a lower-end version of Xiaomi Mi 8, the Xiaomi Mi 8 Youth will be launched in Chengdu, the capital city of China’s Sichuan Province, on Sept. 19.
Xiaomi is developing its cellphone models compatible with U.S. carrier network, planning to launch in the U.S. market next year, Reuters reported on its Chinese website.
Xiaomi CEO shared through a Weibo post on June 2 that the largest Mi Home Experience store in the world is now open in the format of a soft launch in Nanjing with an official opening date schedule for June 16.
Today, the product launch of Xiaomi Mi 8 started at 2 p.m. Beijing time at the Shenzhen Universiade Stadium as scheduled. The event is synchronously live streamed on Xiaomi‘s official website.
