Xiaomi 15 Ultra Will Debut Globally on March 2nd
On February 17th, Xiaomi announced on social media that it will hold a global launch event on March 2nd to officially release the new Xiaomi 15 series.
Previously confirmed by William Lu of Xiaomi Group, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will make its global debut, making this launch event the annual flagship for the Xiaomi 15 Ultra.
It is worth noting that the domestic version of the Xiaomi 15 Ultra will be released slightly earlier, with an appearance scheduled for late February. The official release date for the domestic version has not been announced yet.
It is reported that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is equipped with a main camera, two telephoto lenses, and an ultra-wide-angle lens. The main camera is the Sony LYT900, with 50 million pixels and a large 1-inch sensor. The telephoto lenses are 50 million pixels at 79mm medium focus and a staggering 200 million pixels at 100mm periscope telephoto lens. Their apertures are f/1.8 and f/2.6 respectively, supporting optical zooms of 3X and 4.3X.
The model of the periscope telephoto lens with an incredible resolution of 200 million pixels is the Samsung HP9, which boasts the most powerful telephoto sensor in the industry. With a large 1/1.4-inch sensor and advanced pixel merging technology, HP9 can output clear and bright photos of up to12 million pixels in low-light conditions, significantly enhancing its light sensitivity.
In terms of core configuration, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra features a 2K full-screen display with deep four-curved edges, equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen1 mobile platform, a battery exceeding 6000mAh, and supports satellite communication.
In terms of pricing, the price of this new product is expected to be no less than 6499 yuan. Xiaomi founder Lei Jun stated that the Xiaomi 15 Ultra is one of Xiaomi‘s highest-end smartphone series. Our previous generation Xiaomi 14 Ultra was priced at 6499 yuan. In the past year, research and development costs and component costs have been increasing. From a profit and loss perspective, it is necessary to raise prices.
