Xiaomi Redmi K50 Series Reportedly to Be Equipped With Snapdragon 8 Gen1/870 and Dimensity 9000/7000 Chips
In February this year, Redmi held launch conference for its K40 lineup of devices at which the company introduced the new Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro. Now, rumors of the next iteration of the series, the Redmi K50, have been bubbling up.
On November 22, digital blogger “@Pandaisbald” wrote that the Redmi K50 series models have a variety of processors at the moment, including the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870, Snapdragon 8 Gen1, MediaTek Dimensity 7000 and Dimensity 9000.
Another digital blogger, “@DigitalChatStation“, posted on Weibo on November 20 that the batteries of the next few flagship phones equipped with Snapdragon 8 Gen1 will all start at 4500mAh and be shipped with 65W flash charging.
Furthermore, media outlet Xiaomiui reported that the Redmi K50 Gaming series will have two versions: one will be equipped with a Dimensity 9000 chip and the other will contain the Dimensity 7000 processor. The latter version will be exclusive to the Chinese market.

The report shows that the Dimensity 9000 Redmi K50 Gaming device is expected to be equipped with a 120 Hz or 144 Hz OLED display and four rear cameras. The Redmi K50 Gaming will have a 64MP Sony Exmor IMX686 sensor as the main camera instead of the 64MP Omnivision OV64B sensor found in the Redmi K40 Gaming device. The phone will also have an Omnivision’s 13 MP OV13B10 sensor as a wide angle camera, an Omnivision’s 8MP OV08856 sensor as a telemacro lens, and a GalaxyCore 2MP GC02M1 sensor as its depth sensor. There will also be a version of this device with a 108MP resolution Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor.
