Xpeng P7+ Set for Global Debut, Claimed to Offer the Most Spacious Sports Sedan Under 300,000 Yuan
Earlie on Wednesday, Xpeng Motors revealed that their new all-electric sports sedan, the P7+, is scheduled for a global unveiling on the 10th of this month. Xpeng‘s CEO, He Xiaopeng, shared his anticipation for this car on Weibo. He stated, “Three years ago, when we first started planning the Xpeng P7+, I had two significant objectives in mind. We’re in a privileged position to be part of the new energy industry in this dynamic era, and we should leverage technology to make a difference in the world and benefit those who cherish life. I’ll be elaborating more on these two objectives at the press conference in a couple of days… But there’s one key ambition I hope to fulfill: to deliver the most spacious sports sedan for under 300,000 yuan.”
He Xiaopeng went on to explain that the Xpeng P7+ introduces several innovative practices that challenge industry norms. All its core features exceed those of similar products, and it boasts global leadership in numerous areas, providing an unmatched product advantage.
Notably, the Xpeng P7+ is a completely new model, not a successor to the P7. One of its standout features is the implementation of the “AI Eagle Eye,” a pure visual intelligent driving solution. This makes it the first car model equipped with this system.
The AI Eagle Eye offers superior clarity compared to the human eye, utilizing an innovative Lofic architecture. With improved camera precision and visibility range, it also has enhanced color differentiation capabilities. It performs well in challenging conditions such as low light, backlight, large light variances, and can clearly identify surroundings in darkness, rain, fog, and tunnels.
The system’s real-time perception distance has improved by 1.25 times compared to its predecessor, with a 40% increase in recognition speed and a 100ms reduction in delay. This results in more sensitive perception control, quicker reactions, and a more direct output of navigable space, making route planning information more immediate and responses faster.
