Chinese smart wearable technology company Amazfit has signed a cooperation deal with the Chinese Athletics Association (CAA), becoming the official partner of the Chinese National Track and Field Team. The two sides will make full use of their respective advantages to conduct in-depth cooperation in multiple aspects, including branding, R&D and sports big data.
According to the cooperation agreement, Amazfit enjoys the exclusive rights granted by the CAA in the field of smart wears (smart bracelets, watches, headsets, glasses) and smartphones. It is reported that the 3 series of Amazfit smart sports watches and Amazfit PowerBuds earphones produced by Amazfit will be the first “Chinese National Track and Field Team officially recommended smart wearable products.”
The two sides also plan to set up a joint track and field laboratory aimed at sports technology development. Based on Amazfit’s smart wearable devices, the lab will use intelligent algorithm models and big data analysis to study the massive data of professional athletes together with ordinary users, aiming to facilitate healthier and more effective sports training.
According to DO News, the cooperation deal will last for five years until 2025. During the cooperation period, Amazfit will back the Chinese Track and Field Team during the two Olympic Games in Tokyo and Paris, the World Championships in Eugene in 2021, the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou and the 2023 World Championships in Budapest. In addition, Amazfit will also participate in the operation and service of the CAA membership system in the future.
CAA’s Vice President and Secretary General Yu Hongchen said he hoped the cooperation will help explore the healthy relationship between recreational activities, competitive sports and the sports industry.
