ByteDance’s Dali Education Launches New Collaboration Platform
ByteDance’s Dali Education has launched an educational collaboration platform named “Dali Space,” Tech Planet reported on August 11. This represents another new business attempt by Dali Education after the release of China’s “Double Reduction” education policy.
According to its official website, Dali Space serves many roles such as government administrators, school administrators, teachers, parents and students, providing services such as class management, teaching applications, online classrooms, collaborative teaching and research, and home-school communication.
Dali Space has launched an app with a question bank and open discussion mode, which can help students improve their learning ability. Parents can also see the dynamics of their children in school, and check the recent exams and test results anytime and anywhere. In addition, schools and teachers can issue notices to parents through this platform.
Since the Chinese government’s release of the “Double Reduction” policy, Dali education, which was launched by ByteDance at the end of October 2020, began to seek transformation, during which quality education and adult education were explored. In May last year, ByteDance acquired and upgraded “Xuexiaoyi” into a platform for college students. Services such as online course expansion and certificate acquiring were added. According to data from Qimai, the app’s download volume has exceeded 100 million.
In addition, Dali Education has launched a teachers’ community and a miniprogram to monitor students’ grades. At present, four major directions have been formed, including intelligent learning, lifelong education and career development, educational hardware and educational public welfare. This time, the launch of “Dali Space” is intended to strengthen the connection between parents and teachers, becoming a one-stop educational platform.
