Details Leak on Xiaomi MIX FOLD 2 Smartphone Display

Recent leaks suggest that Beijing-based consumer electronics manufacturer Xiaomi will hold a launch conference at the end of June, at which time the firm will release new products including the Xiaomi 12 Ultra and the Xiaomi MIX FOLD 2 smartphone models.

Chinese blogger “@Digital Chat Station” posted on Monday morning that the 2K high-refresh rate flexible inner display carried by Xiaomi‘s second-generation foldable smartphone engineering model is “luxurious in specifications and continues the design idea of the previous generation with a high screen-to-body ratio.” In addition, the blogger said that the outer screen of the model feels slightly curved on one side, which greatly improves the lightness and texture.

Moreover, the outer display of the Xiaomi MIX FOLD 2 smartphone supports a 120 Hz refresh rate, while there is no camera on the inner display. The smartphone will have a transverse super-large matrix frame at the rear, and its camera module is located in the upper left corner.

A community website for the firm called Xiaomiui revealed that the Xiaomi MIX FOLD 2 has the code name “zizhan,” with a model name of 22061218C. Its display will be 8 inches, which is not much different from the 8.3-inch iPad mini. The outer display is 6.5 inches, which can realize two-way folding.

In addition, leaks suggest that the Xiaomi MIX FOLD 2 is relatively light and thin, so the battery is smaller than the previous generation. The engineering prototype is equipped with anti-glare glass, with a partial platinum colorway, which is somewhat similar to the Xiaomi 12 Ultra Flagship model. The new hinge crease is smaller and easier to open and close.

Referring to the screen specifications of the Xiaomi MIX FOLD, it is equipped with an AMOLED foldable flexible display (inner screen) with a size of 8.01 inches and a ratio of 4: 3. It supports 2K resolution, DCI-P3 color, 1.07 billion colors and HDR10+.
