FIMI’s UAV Recalled Due to Control System Malfunction

On Friday, the State Administration for Market Regulation announced on its website that 4,000 units of the UAV WR JTZ02FM drone manufactured by FIMI Technology, will be recalled. This recall applies to the 4K version of the drone which were produced from February 8, 2017 to February 18, 2017.

These drones were recalled due to the improper matching of flight control system software control parameters. They have potential safety hazards such as losing power and falling during high altitude flights.

FIMI Technology, a Chinese company that is part of Xiaomi‘s ecosystem, was founded in 2016 and focuses on the R&D of robots, drones and other related products.

In response to the product recall, FIMI Technology has been forthright in recalling defective parts in an effort to improve safety and security for consumers.

FIMI Technology said that users can log on to the official website of the company to check whether their products should be recalled and can learn more about specific situations through the customer service hotline.
