Geely’s 10,000th Zeekr 001 Officially Goes Offline

The 10,000th Zeekr 001, the first model of Geely’s auto brand Zeekr, officially rolled off the production line on Thursday. Its manufacturing plants are making every effort to ensure vehicle production so as to shorten the delivery waiting time for consumers.

To date, Zeekr has delivered a total of 3,796 Zeekr 001 vehicles, an increase of 88.7% from November of 2021.

The Zeekr 001 is equipped with 100kWh lithium-ion cells supplied by Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL). The vehicle is able to accelerate from zero to one hundred kilometers in only 3.8 seconds. Moreover, the model adopts liquid cooled heat pump.

The 001 uses air suspension that can set its ground clearance between 117mm and 205mm. Zeekr is claiming that the 001 can go 700km on a full charge while its charging abilities will give it 120 km worth of power in just five minutes of charging time.

In the highly competitive new energy auto market, production speed has become one of the most effective ways for brands to show their strength and increase their market share. Zeekr took only 99 days to reach its production goal of 10,000 vehicles. But product quality is more important for electric vehicle startups.

A few days ago, some car owners said that, while driving their Zeekr 001, the fault information for “power damage” and “ESC abnormality” suddenly popped up on the dashboard.

Some insiders believe that the fault may be due to a problem with the inverter in the vehicle. Blindly increasing the supported voltage of inverter without the corresponding design of the cooling system has previously led to heat dissipation failure of the IGBT module in the inverter.
