“It is a long-term trend that Chinese companies are going global. And they have entered a new phase where it is driven by interaction and dialogues,” said Maya Hari, Twitter VP & Managing Director Asia Pacific.
Based on Twitter’s big data, the company analyzed Chinese companies’ performance from perspectives of content quality, update frequency and interaction with audience on Twitter.
Up to the end of first quarter of 2019, Twitter has gathered 134 million monetizable daily active users, increasing 11 percent year on year. The hashtags generated by these users have become a channel for brands to trace and analyze users’ focus and interests, bringing about more effective conversations with local users.
“Chinese companies’ increasing global businesses benefit from their continued investment in brand marketing and their attention to the target market and users, instead of short-term goals such as user growth, conversion rate, downloads,” said Alan Lan, Twitter’s Head of Greater China business.
