OPPO releases the R15: natural designs, brilliant colors and enhanced hardware

On March 31, OPPO released the OPPO R15 series smartphone onto the market.

The OPPO R15 features 2.5D double-sided glass and metal frames. American “color master” Karim Rashid was the talent behind the two gradient color versions, “Starry Purple” and “Dreamy Red”.

The series comes in five color schemes: Snow White, Thermal Red, Starry Purple, Dreamy Red and Ceramic Black. The first two are solid colors and represent abstractions from nature, while the gradient color schemes Starry Purple and Dreamy Red are inspired from nature. The Ceramic Black edition is made with ceramics that have gone through 72 hours of firing and 19 processes, making it the most delicately crafted of all.

The back designs of the different editions also vary. The standard edition uses a 2.5D glass design on the back, which feels rather flat in hands. The Dream Mirror edition adopts a 3D curve design, which feels smoother and more comfortable than the standard one.

Compared with the previous aluminum alloy frame, the new phone body gives users a more gentle touch.

This series is equipped with full-screen display, double-sided glass, 2.5D/3D curve design, front-facing 20 MP AI smart “Beauty Camera” and rear-facing AI portrait mode. At an affordable price, the OPPO R15’s cool and natural designs, brilliant colors and enhanced hardware will become a hit in the market like the previous R11 series.
