OPPO Response: Foldable Screen Phones Are Progressing As Planned
According to media reports, well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously stated that the two brands OPPO and vivo have shelved their plans to release new vertically folding screens in 2024.
In response, OPPO stated first: The foldable series products are progressing as planned.
Currently, the top 5 smartphone manufacturers have all released large foldable screen phones. Honor and Xiaomi have not yet released small foldable screen phones, while OPPO and vivo have already launched several generations of small foldable screens with good sales performance, especially for OPPO, which achieved good results in the small foldable field last year.
It is worth mentioning that there are reports stating that Apple has also suspended the development of a foldable iPhone because the supplier’s screen did not pass Apple’s strict testing standards.
