Pinduoduo Becomes Exclusive Red Packet Partner of Upcoming CCTV Spring Festival Gala

On Sept. 24, China Central Radio and Television Corporation (CCTV) announced that Pinduoduo, China’s second-largest e-commerce platform by traffic, will become the exclusive red packet partner of CCTV’s 2021 Spring Festival Gala.

Pinduoduo has nearly 700 million users with annual transaction volume of the platform exceeding 1.2 trillion yuan. By serving China’s domestic demand market with value-for-money goods, Pinduoduo has become China’s second-largest e-commerce platform by traffic, and largest agriculture e-commerce platform. A large number of new brands from agricultural and manufacturing industries have emerged on the platform.

Pinduoduo has become CCTV’s strategic partner for agriculture and poverty alleviation. Earlier this month, CCTV and Pinduoduo jointly launched a series of live broadcast activities during Chinese farmers’ harvest festival.

Pinduoduo will collaborate closely with CCTV on the Spring Festival Gala and continue to create value for consumers,” said a Pinduoduo spokesperson.
