PSG.LGD Guaranteed for Top 3 Finish of Dota International 2019

Chinese e-sports powerhouse PSG.LGD successfully broke into the upper bracket final of the ongoing Dota 2 International in Shanghai tournament.

Following their victory against Vici Gaming, PSG.LGD is guaranteed a top 3 finish and an appearance on the final day of TI9. The Chinese Dota giants are in a strong position to avenge their loss in the grand finals of The International 2018, where it suffered a heart-wrenching 3-2 loss at the hands of European team OG.

The third day of the tournament began with a fierce clash between domestic Chinese teams PSG.LGD and Vici Gaming for a spot in the semi-finals. Although Vici won 2 majors this season and maintained a good amount of popularity with Chinese fans, PSG.LGD was still slightly more favored going into the matches and plowed through the former 2-0 in a dominating fashion.

Vici Gaming fell to the lower brackets as a result of its loss against PSG.LGD and will face off against the winner of Round 3 of the lower bracket, either Infamous Gaming or Team Secret.

PSG.LGD and Vici Gaming are the only two Chinese teams to remain in Ti9 as RNG suffered a crushing defeat of 0-2 at the hands of Team Liquid in Round 3 of the lower bracket.

The grudge match showdown between PSG.LGD and OG will kick off tomorrow at 1:40PM, while the remaining teams battle for a spot in the lower bracket finals.
